I have a Comcast/Xfinity Arris Dual Band Gateway. It was created on both strips with the same title. I had to split the bands because your plugin is advertised as only working on 2.4GHz. I tried using the Comcast app - xFi - and following their instructions but it didn't work. Finally I opened the gateway by typing 10.0.0.1 in the browser. This invokes the gateway interface. To my chagrin, I found that it was still the default username and password, admin/password. Change this. Then go to Connection/WLAN. Give the 2.4 GHz band a different name than the 5 GHz band. I just added 2.4 to mine. You can leave the password the same for both. Then save and back. When setting up the plug with Smart Life, select section 2.4. Then follow the rest of the instructions. Works perfectly. You can instruct Alexa to turn each outlet on or off individually.
