Review on Cal Van Tools 488 Drive Converter by Jason Wright

I've used the 3/8" to 1/2" version for several years with no problems which is why I ordered the smaller version. I cannot and will not recommend this reduced version. When the working ends of the device are engaged, the outer end extends beyond the center of the tool, which means that the load of the tool is not on the end-to-center linkage, but on a much smaller diameter rod that each End of tool holds tool. As you can see in the picture it looks like the end of the tool has a connection to the center of the tool. However, this is misleading as the force does not act on the outer end of the tool center but on the inner shaft. I contacted the company and they completely blew me away.
