Review on ๐ŸŒž Tetra Sunlight Blocking Film: Ultimate Protection for Your Aquarium! by Charles Chambers

Important note: unfold completely before cutting! Watch out for green and red tabs!

Important note: Unfold the Tetra sunscreen film BEFORE cutting. I used this on a 10 gallon tank and didn't realize the only way to separate the film was from the inside. (See pictures showing the red and green tabs you need to separate). That sounded perfect for my needs as our aquarium is in a very bad location and gets too much light in the summer months. My choice is to keep the bay window curtains closed or use these! Great solution though. When the box is opened, the opaque film rolls up like wrapping paper. Note: The page you need is on the roll! You will see red and green tabs separating the film. From my many attempts to separate it any other way, it's impossible. Unfortunately, since the red and green tabs were inside the reel, I didn't see them when I cut the section for the 10 gallon tank. I was very proud of myself when I cut out the first section that was for the front of the aquarium. Hmm, but wait, why can't I share the tape? Yes, because in the simple guide it is marked in the step AFTER I cut the film. I was able to salvage enough to save the side and back of the tank but not the rest. I just don't share the movie. I recommend planning ahead! Expand fully. If you have an external filter, remove it or have a helper lift it while you apply the film. For the record, it's like putting a screen protector on your phone. I don't have blisters on the back but they do on the side. Every time I come by I rub them a little with the jig that comes with it. I may be the only person this has happened to, but don't let this happen to you! An easy fix would be to have tabs on both ends of the reel for those of us who don't use them on our 29 gallon or larger tank. Yes, the film is crystal clear when you pull it up and you don't notice which side the glass is on and which side the film is on. As they say, "live and learn". I will buy it again because I need it and I want it to work. I'll see if they make it for smaller tanks! Please look at the pictures to see what I mean!
