can be used on small aquarium

I planted a 5.5 tank with a betta near the window I was able to cover three glass sides I still have algae but it was my fault I'm new to the hobby and didn't find the perfect spot for lighting and fertilizer but it was simple and easy to put the jar on and you don't realize there's anything on it.

Didn't stop algae growth

I keep my aquarium by the kitchen window which stays open during the day so it makes sense that there is a lot of algae. I have tried all pills and chemicals to get rid of it and nothing helps. After a few weeks with this film I see no noticeable difference. It could be because the tank already had so many or because it's in full sun, but it seems like I clean the tank every week until I find the best one.

Can be tricky to install but ok

Not bad but a little tricky to install if you're not careful. First, make sure you give the area of the tank you are installing it in at least twice a thorough cleaning to ensure it is free of any dirt or debris. After complete drying. When placing, I've found that using a credit card/flat card to remove any air bubbles (same as putting a screen protector on the device)…

Sun protection film

I ordered this in the hope that it would help me to take better care of my aquarium and keep it free of algae. Well, maybe not in vain because I never could, but at least less. They are also easier to care for than algae eater fish (and these fish are very messy and grow to house size - I'm being dramatic but they grow very large, my last one was huge). The film includes a small squeegee, make sure you don't lose it as it will come in handy during installation. By the way, the installation was…

Important note: Unfold the Tetra sunscreen film BEFORE cutting. I used this on a 10 gallon tank and didn't realize the only way to separate the film was from the inside. (See pictures showing the red and green tabs you need to separate). That sounded perfect for my needs as our aquarium is in a very bad location and gets too much light in the summer months. My choice is to keep the bay window curtains closed or use these! Great solution though. When the box is opened, the opaque film rolls up…
