As advertised this is an ultra light backpack. When the package came in the mail I actually couldn't believe it was a backpack because it was so light. The quality is amazing. It's pretty cool to wear it in different ways with adjustable buckles. I took it on a sea voyage to Maine and it worked great. It didn't get wet so I can't comment on its water resistance, but the capacity is amazing. This backpack was just right for a quick trip where I needed my arms and legs free. I took it on the plane and it fit in the trunk. When I finished my trip and returned home, I put this bag in a very small pouch. I see where this will come in handy when I travel to Europe in the fall and do a lot of shopping.
