Cute but not for a kitchen

I bought this for the kitchen and I’m thinking it’s not meant for that room. Perhaps it would be better in a hallway. When it gets food so later on it, it dirties easily and it’s hard to remove. You basically have to put it in the washer to clean it. I’ve only washed it twice and so far it’s held up fine and cleaned pretty well when I did. It’s very cute but more for looks than actual use. It’s not beneficial other than looks. Oh and it also needs something underneath it to make it not slide if it’s not on carpet.
