Review on πŸ”Œ Sabrent USB 3.0 4-Port High Powered Hub: Enhanced Connectivity with 4A Power Adapter – Reverse Compatible to USB 2.0 by Kevin Parker

Works for me for hubs

Why I chose this product: I had a Dell PowerEdge T410 server with USB 3.0 support via a Rosewill add-on PCI card. Although the card can optionally receive additional power via Molex (to provide "full" power to USB 3.0 client devices), the T410 cannot provide such additional power via Molex. I'm not sure if this was because my T410 was configured with "redundant" power supplies, but the bottom line is that the only "spare" power supply available in my T410 was a single SATA power connector (no Molex) so I was forced to leave the Rosewill map with no additional power. Since I regularly get data from a dongle vendor onto external bus-powered ADATA USB 3.0 drives, I was looking for a self-powered hub that could sit between my server's Rosewill USB 3.0 card and the ADATA drives. I have found this Sabrent product to work flawlessly.
