Cheap metal gears.
I bought this kitchen mixer specifically for making bread. It took 5 years of continuous bread baking twice a week for the original mechanisms to fail. These new gears failed on the first load of bread. When they arrived I had my doubts as they appeared to be cast iron rather than steel. Kitchen Aid used to be a premium product from the USA, now I have to find a new food processor. My first Kitchen Aid mixer was a tilt head and had been in use for 20 years when I upgraded to a larger one. Disappointed.
