Top Gasket Leaks - Fuel Filter

The top gasket was causing fuel to leak into the valley of the cylinder block. No matter how I tightened the plastic nut on top of the filter, it would not close. Replaced filter with Ford product, problem solved. I didn't see the reasons for the gasket failure, the rubber gasket seemed quite soft. The OEM top seal is a different design than this product. There seems to be some sort of tolerance issue with this design.
