This tool is pretty simple - every kitchen needs a slotted spoon for various cooking purposes (stirring, of course, but also removing a piece of pasta from hot water without lugging water), and this version combines price and performance well. For a very reasonable price you get a nice nylon spoon head (in a muted but still very nice grey) and a stainless steel handle that stays cool during use (assuming the handle doesn't get hot, of course). It works well and is easy to clean, even dishwasher safe. The nylon head can be used at all reasonable temperatures, with the possible exception of leaving it in an empty pot on a very high heat - although that's not good for most pans either! This clearly shows that the spoon is made entirely of stainless steel, but a quick look at the listing itself or the photos - or frankly the price - will correct that impression. And that in itself is a minor weakness. In general, a successful purchase of the right tool!
