Farberware Professional Soft Medium Grater, 12.4-Inch, Stainless Steel, Gray Review

I would not recommend this product at all. Used twice to stir fried vegetables and was useless. The plastic melted so much there wasn't much plastic left in the food! This is NOT HEAT RESISTANT.

On first use, the leading edge burned crisp and folded over a sixteenth of an inch across the entire width. My biggest downside with synthetic lathes was the thick edges. They push food instead of lifting it. This one had a sharp blade but I cut it off after it burned out. However, it's still thinner than most. Black lathes don't show any stains, but this one does. I keep it because it's better than my clunkiest lathe. But I'm still looking.

This tool is pretty simple - every kitchen needs a slotted spoon for various cooking purposes (stirring, of course, but also removing a piece of pasta from hot water without lugging water), and this version combines price and performance well. For a very reasonable price you get a nice nylon spoon head (in a muted but still very nice grey) and a stainless steel handle that stays cool during use (assuming the handle doesn't get hot, of course). It works well and is easy to clean, even dishwasher
