These are so amazingly soft. Wash when you first get them to make them clean and safe for baby, and to activate the softness and absorbency. But then they stay soft forever. I wish every fabric in my house and on my person was made of this stuff because its so amazing. As far as functioning as burp/all purpose sort of baby napkins they are quickly and efficiently absorbent and also dry quickly. Easy to wash in any laundry load since its just 100% cotton. Great deal how many you get for the price. I've got two packs of them and havent needed anything else.
