This is undoubtedly a great tool. I often say that anyone can do the job if they have the right tools. When it comes to removing and installing press-fit ball joints, this is what you need. It had everything needed to remove and install the lower pivots on my Dakota 05. A good tip with this tool or any ball joint press to avoid damaging the tool and/or your control arm is to tap on the threaded rod every few turns. For example, set the tool to extrude the connection and turn the threaded rod until it is as tight as possible. Remove the bushing and tap the top of the threaded rod several times. Once you've done this, you'll find that the tool easily rotates another 1/2 full turn. Repeat this process until the joint comes out. That's better than just the brute force of the tool and the risk of damage from stubborn ball joints. Also worked great for removing and installing control arm bushings from another car!
