I really hope I haven't fallen for the hype with this bulb as it's expensive for a 60w Type A LED -bulb. I recently swapped garage door openers (effectively swapping Geniuses for Chamberlains). The Genies' range wasn't very good, and I got tired of changing lightbulbs. Perhaps the Genie's range was due to their poor rubber remote controls. Chamberlains have a hard plastic button with a solid "click" to let you know when you've pressed the button. However, I used these lamps because I read that LED or fluorescent lamps can cause radio interference depending on their nature. Chamberlain's installation instructions specifically state that you can't use fluorescent lighting, and I googled and found that it was in fact both types. I will say these are VERY white bright lights they are instantaneous there is no warm up to full brightness with them and I have great range on the remotes now. Probably at least 50 meters, even without line of sight. So I can say that they definitely don't cause any interference and have lasted for several months with constant use.
