I've searched through many short antennas for my 2012 Toyota FJ Cruiser and finally landed on another copper clad antenna that claimed to have better reception. When I put it on I lost almost all AM reception and there was a very noticeable decrease in FM range and an increase in noise. I sent it back and opted for this one instead. 5 stars, reception as good as the long stick antenna. FM is as clear as ever, even on San Diego stations (I live in Los Angeles, 2-3 hours away) and only the slightest drop in AM reception, which is barely noticeable, maintains range and clarity. I highly recommend this antenna if you don't want to lose radio reception and it looks really nice. It only takes 30 seconds to install, there were no assembly problems. The only negative I can make about it is that there are a few little plastic things sticking out that probably weren't removed or cleaned in production, but they're small and only noticeable when you actually look at them. You could probably scrape it off with a razor blade if that really bothers you. But for practical use, this antenna is unsurpassed.
