Used Stanley 25ft tapes since 1975. I have a lot of old Powerlock tapes. The blade on this band is by far the weakest I've seen on a Stanley band. The blade on my vintage 8' powerlock from the 90's is better than this. Some economical 25 foot Stanley tapes I sold in 2004 (bought 3 of these for $4.99 each in a large box) have much more powerful blades than this one. I bought this as a replacement for a 25ft Fat Max because the Fat Max blade was beginning to break at the edge, allowing it to cut my finger. This is marked on the back with a deck baluster marker, because that's pretty much all it's good for. It is clear that the quality of the Stanley PowerLock tapes has deteriorated sharply. Unfortunately I have to say that after 40 years I will not buy another one. Time to look at the Red Ribbon offers.
