Strange coating inside the base Arrived in an open package and poor build quality We ordered a 10 cup Moka espresso machine Cusinox COF-10R Roma coffee maker because we are replacing our old (GAT) espresso machine due to rusting inside wanted the base unit. We had a great experience with Cusinox 6 Cup Roma using it at my relatives' home. We agreed to pay a premium for the product as our previous experience with it has been flawless. I really wanted this to work: We drink coffee every day and a French press just can't compete with the espresso you can make with a stovetop espresso machine. Unfortunately we had to return the product for the reasons listed below. 1) The product arrived in a previously opened box. intact but the side of the box has been dismantled to allow the product to be completely removed without disturbing the tape. That alone would be enough for me to return the product. However, I tried it as my relatives used Cuisinox COF-6R 6-Cup Roma and I really liked them. Laws probably a year ago: the lid swayed almost freely when touched lightly and always touched the side handle every time it was opened. But even this did not become the decisive factor. 3) Strange coating inside the base unit The main reason I am returning this product is the inside of the base unit. My relative's finish was the shiny stainless steel that makes up the top of the device. My order had a base with an odd finish. It was a completely different material than the inside of the top block. It was very similar to the finish on my previous espresso machine which I had to replace due to rust. As we are not interested in paying that price for a grout that may rust in a few months or a year we have decided to return this item. and order another cheaper brand.
