Yes. Although we chose to install it in an acrylic panel in the window which was a bit of a learning curve for my husband who has never cut acrylic before, the instructions were excellent and the door works great. We have many street cats and one cat that is not (yet) neutered and is not allowed inside. We also have 4 cats that are indoors cats that like to go outside sometimes. This is a great solution to a problem. Whoever is allowed in gets a microchip. It was easy to train them.
