UPDATE: I got a reply from Extech and they are sending me a replacement. I changed this to 4 stars as I hope this new device will perform better (and longer) than my other device. If you have problems with your device, please use the notification function on the website. This is the answer I received. Also be patient. It took a week for anyone to contact me, but when they did, they came back with a solution. I wish there was a no star option. I bought it in January 2016. It's been used a few times (less than 10) and when I tried again in December it stopped working. I replaced the battery but the device failed completely. I called Extech and left a voicemail asking for help troubleshooting. That was January 2017. They never replied. I sent an email through their website this week and haven't received a response yet. The device appears to be cheaply built. It is almost impossible to remove the connector from the battery. I am very unimpressed with this product as well as the customer service (or lack thereof).
