Not exactly measured

Every time I put it on the surface it showed 56.5% no matter the material was dry or wet. I immediately sent it back and ordered a pinned counter.

Faulty device

The device I received was not working. The battery connector was missing. The battery (9V) was included, but I had to buy the connector myself and solder it to the wires.

Not working and no customer service

UPDATE: I got a reply from Extech and they are sending me a replacement. I changed this to 4 stars as I hope this new device will perform better (and longer) than my other device. Having recently been hit by Hurricane Sandy, I was in dire need of an inexpensive replacement for measuring humidity in flooded and semi-flooded homes. This calculator really surprised me. For about half the price of my Tramex it worked perfectly. When I first used it, the meter correctly read varying…

Great and Often Overlooked Product

I purchased this product when a home inspection revealed multiple moisture issues in the home I was planning to purchase. The house was plastered and there were questions as to whether the plaster was properly applied and maintained. Because the plaster is waterproof, the problem is that moisture can get behind the plaster and the underlying woodwork will rot over time. It is best to measure the moisture content of the structure at the back through the inner wall at problem areas such as window
