LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS KETTLE! The first. Removing the lid reminded me of taking the lid off a kid's cauldron - almost like pewter. But after using it and boiling it FULL of water it was so nice to water as its weight allows you to easily handle a full pot. The conclusion is that the handle folds. I don't like to fill the kettle through the spout, but through the hole at the top. I use bottled water and measure it out in a large Pyrex container so it's a lot easier to fill up than trying to pour it down a spout. And if you leave the handle tilted down (which I accidentally did) and it cooks at full power, the handle doesn't get hot! You can grab it easily. I seem to have a carpel tunnel and after a day at the computer its ease is so light in my hands. I'm so glad I got it.
