Review on HELLA 148541001 Rallye Wiring Harness by Leroy Estell

I bought several Hella 4000 for my FJ Cruiser and needed a wiring solution. I'm no electrician but wanted to install it myself. I couldn't assemble the strap myself from raw parts so I needed a solution. The most sensible solution for me came from the manufacturer of my lamps. It will be difficult to praise the wire bundle, relay and switch, but Hella makes a good product. Although I had two small issues I gave this rig 5 stars because everything is so high quality. My problems were simple and may not even affect your installation. First, I didn't use a switch. The switch supplied with the wiring harness is of very high quality, European style. It looks like standard equipment on a Germanic land yacht, but it didn't work with my Japanese interior AND didn't light up. never mind My other problem was that I had crossed a few wires and the relay was stuck. I tapped it with the handle of a screwdriver and it's been fine ever since. Again, no big deal. Anyway, it was my fault. In general I am very satisfied. It's got nice, thick wire - and plenty of it. It's pre-cut and tuned for the less electric-minded among us. The instructions were simple and clear for a complete beginner. The result is this: My headlights are installed, they work and I am satisfied.
