Review on SYLVANIA Equivalent Energy Dimmable Efficient by Jennifer Madrid

UPDATE 04/25/2021: I have to change my rating from 5 stars to 1 star. The bulb burned out in less than 1 year (10 months to be exact). In the same room in my house there are 3 LED bulbs from another brand that have been working perfectly for 7 years. The box with the lightbulb was advertised as having a 3 year warranty but making a warranty claim seems impossible. Sylvania simply invites you to return to the place of purchase, but no one will take anything 10 months after purchase. I've never had any problems with other brands of LED bulbs. FIRST REVIEW (6/2020): I've been using one of these for recessed lighting in our kitchen for a couple of weeks. And so far so good. I'm done with the second bulb of two packs when the last one blows out of some CFLs that I'm gradually replacing with LEDs. These two packages of LED spotlights are of great value for several reasons. Firstly a very good price for 2 lamps. Second, each bulb uses only 9 watts to provide the light equivalent of a 65 watt incandescent bulb. Third, they must serve for a long time. My other three bulbs in my kitchen recessed lighting are LEDs, which I've been using for over 6 years (although they're a different brand). The light quality is very good. It delivers 650 lumens and turns on instantly. It doesn't look like CFL bulbs. I also have a CFL in my kitchen for example that takes a good 10 seconds to reach full brightness whereas this LED goes full brightness instantly. This compact fluorescent light will soon be replaced by another LED from these two kits. They are dimmable but I don't have dimmers so I can't comment on how well they dim. They are environmentally friendly compared to alternatives. First, they have a very long lifespan, rated at 11,000 hours, so they are very rarely replaced. Second, they only use 9 watts of electricity. Third, unlike CFLS, LEDs contain no mercury. Just make sure you leave them somewhere that will recycle electronics if they burn out after many years. Excellent purchase.
