I really didn't know what to expect. I have a large phone (Nexus 6) in a case and wasn't sure it would hold up. Looks good and holds securely in the vent. As other reviewers have said, you can rotate it 90 degrees to use either narrower or slightly wider slots depending on the blade size of your vent. After a week of use I have to say that it works great. I have a metal plate in the case and the phone holds securely even on bumps and rough asphalt. The rubber surround does a good job of preventing the phone from tipping when I hold it vertically. To remove the phone I found it best to pull up one side first as it doesn't strain the ventilation and releases easily. Each mount comes with both rectangular and round metal plates. I wouldn't recommend sticking this directly to your phone as it's supposed to be forever. In fact, the instructions strongly remind you of this. Either insert the board into the case and leave the adhesive on it, or attach it directly to the back of the case if it's thick. If you insist on using your phone without a case, then your only option is to use permanent adhesive. Phone call. My only regret is that I didn't get it sooner. My old CD holder is on the donation pile.
