Review on ☕️ Vietnamese Coffee Filter Set | Vietnamese Coffee Maker Press 8oz | Gravity Insert | Various Sizes & Quantities by Amanda Holmes

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Read about my mistakes and how I finally had a CUP OF COFFEE! GREAT FILTER!

I'm so used to the screw on the filters, but I'm tired of the screw often breaking and not being tightened anymore. I bought these in two packs for a great price. My first attempt at making coffee was a complete failure. I treated this filter as if you unscrewed it and poured some water, waited 20 seconds, then poured in the rest. I heard the water rush into my cup and within a minute the filter was empty. I knew the coffee would taste good. well water. And yes it happened. My second try the next day was no better. Actually I would say it was worse! This morning was my third and last attempt. I would return these filters if I can't get a perfectly strong coffee. But I did! Before I started pouring water, I remember reading reviews about how to pack coffee grounds. On my first two attempts, I "grabbed" the soil by pressing the top filter into the soil as hard as possible. Well, that probably wasn't what the reviewer had in mind. I realized that "wrapping" soil means soaking it, making it moist, less porous and more difficult for water to penetrate. like dirt (dry) versus dirt (wet). When it finally came time to pour the water, I literally poured in a tablespoon at a time. watched it disappear but heard no water dripping. I repeated this three more times, for a total of four times. I stopped when I started hearing drips. A drop at least 8 seconds after I had poured the last portion of the "sealing" water showed me that it was possible to fill the rest of the filter. I did, put the lid on and washed the dishes for the next 5 minutes. When I came back to give the filter a good check, to my relief I could still see water! YES SIR. SUCCESS. NO RETURNS NECESSARY! And now I'm drinking my perfect cup of coffee.
