I'm so used to the screw on the filters, but I'm tired of the screw often breaking and not being tightened anymore. I bought these in two packs for a great price. My first attempt at making coffee was a complete failure. I treated this filter as if you unscrewed it and poured some water, waited 20 seconds, then poured in the rest. I heard the water rush into my cup and within a minute the filter was empty. I knew the coffee would taste good. well water. And yes it happened. My second try the…

Vietnamese coffee whenever your little heart desires

These Vietnamese coffee makers are fantastic. I ordered the large 11 ounce coffee makers and they came with detailed instructions and pictures but I think the instructions are for the much smaller maker as it says to use 1 tablespoon of ground coffee. After experimenting with this a bit, I came up with a way to make Vietnamese iced coffee that tastes the same as that served in restaurants (again, note that this is for an 11-ounce brewer): 1. The Instructions say you must take a medium grind…

Interesting new way of making coffee

I'm not a fan of Vietnamese coffee, but we sometimes drink Cafe Dumond coffee and we like it, so we decided to try this new brewing method. They'll provide you with instructions to help you with this, but like everything else, you'll need to adjust the amount of coffee and amount of sweetened condensed milk to suit your personal preference. I bought a very large size and put in about 3 heaping teaspoons of Cafe Dumond and poured maybe 10% of a small can of sweetened condensed milk onto the…

Delicious! (Instructions and recipe below)

This is a good Vietnamese coffee machine, even the lady in our authentic Asian restaurant confirmed it ;). It's very cheap and makes REALLY good coffee. For the price, this coffee can't be beat. However, this coffee maker has two features, which is why I gave it 4 stars. These quirks aren't necessarily bad, though, and some might even see them as a big plus. It makes STRONG coffee (but still very good!)1. The water drains much slower than other brands I've seen (a few minutes versus 30…

I really wanted it to work well.

Well after reading all the great reviews about these coffee filters I was really excited to start making Vietnamese coffee at home but so far it hasn't been such a good experience. . The filter seems to be quite well made and the process is quite simple. I bought Trung Nguyen Premium Vietnamese Coffee Blend along with a filter and tried making coffee with it several times, as well as some standard grocery store Folgers grinds. No matter what I try, the coffee drips through the filter for at…

FINALLY HEALTHY PREPARATION OF COFFEE - PREPARATION TIPS

After learning that French Press coffee (and any coffee that doesn't go through a paper filter) can lead to high cholesterol and LDL levels, I was I'm looking for a better way to brew. THAT IS THE SOLUTION! No machines with their plastic hoses and weak/warm pourovers coffee. These ribs allow me to brew coffee that tastes better than a French press AND allows me to use a paper filter to help lower my cholesterol.
