I like these wheels for the speed. I'm a content editor and moving 100GB files is a chore with slower drives. I have a 12TB model with no issues so I ordered a 6TB model. When I received the package I found that it was lost. I thought maybe it was just the outer packaging but it also damaged the inner packaging of the product. When I started using the drive, it made a loud bang and the drive's temperature fluctuated around 53°C. Just below the maximum operating temperature of 55°C. I opened the drive's case and found that the bay in which the drive was installed was cracked and all of the mounting screws had been torn out. These actuators have sensors and electronics to try and keep the actuator stable from vibration and shock, and it seems that a loose actuator will send it into a feedback loop where things get worse. After I fixed the tray and reconnected the drive, it wasn't as noisy and my operating temperature dropped to 45C. I ran the CheckDisk program and it didn't find any bad sectors, so I guess that's all is okay. Still a good ride but the case is easily damaged in transit.
