School Librarian at Barcode Scanners

As a school librarian I was reluctant to buy a Revain scanner, especially this one as it was very cheap compared to Demco's scanners. This scanner was very easy to assemble and connected directly to my computer thanks to the USB port. I have found that all of my barcodes are being scanned, including those that are damaged, smudged and unreadable by my wireless Datalogic QuickScan. So far this week it's been working fine. Let's see how durable this scanner is after more than 10,000 scans in a few weeks. The only two complaints I have is that when I turn on my computer, I have to unplug and plug the scanner back in for it to turn on. The second complaint is that it took me a while to realize how much I had to hold the books for the scanner to read them.
