Works well and fits perfectly in my 2012 Mac Mini case. The reason for the missing star is that the rubber insert arrived unassembled in the packaging. So I had to find and attach the rails (which was actually harder than I thought as there is a curved part in the middle) and then it kept sliding when I put the computer in. I finally managed to get it in the right place without pulling the elastic out, but I'm not sure why they didn't just glue it on. It would help a lot. Place the logo on it or, if necessary, on the underside. It's a nice clean modern stand without it, and the addition just makes it cheap.
