Purchase additional end caps and end caps.

Good heating tape. Last night it was -25, and the pipes I taped and wrapped with insulation are flowing fine. The ones I didn't pack are frozen. I wrapped myself around the pies and the water meter on me and it worked fine, like a rope around it. I've also done long straight runs without bandages. Works great. I attached it to the pipe with tape. My two Pex pipes run side by side, so instead of running duct tape for each pipe I ran a pipe between the two and wrapped it in insulation. He should take good care of both pipes. At night it was -25, everything is fine on the pipes I rolled up. It can drop below -40 here so I'll test it, but so far it seems like good industrial strength, way better than the cheap stuff you get at Lowes. Get extra fork ends and end caps. You'll probably have to cut it in places and do a few runs. That's why I haven't finished mine yet. Waiting for more plug ends. Each cut requires a connector. I routed the heating tape right through the floor, under the sink, went through the hole that the pipe goes through, and installed a GFCI under the sink that runs on a light switch (formerly the garbage chute) and plugged it in there. When it's cold, I just flip a switch. Very easy. This is good stuff.
