This repair escutcheon is well designed, heavily chrome plated and comes with handy support rods for easy installation. It has a seal on the back to avoid caulking (be sure to make a break in the seal on the bottom to make removing condensation easier). It is also important that when repairing two valves per valve, the exact position of the final valve assembly is carefully measured to ensure proper spacing for piping and equipment so you don't cut a hole in a structural member. A carbide-tipped hole saw is recommended for cutting the monovalve hole. I recommend a dual valve with separate handle for volume and temperature rather than a single handle cold start version.
