Although it took a while to figure out how to use it, the instructions that came with it were very basic. I really needed help with the back of my head as I couldn't see very well and kept messing things up, but once those curlers were on I put the blow dryer hood on and kept it low. I left it on for less than 10 minutes and then let my hair cool completely before taking it out. Once my hair was completely dry it was very easy to remove, just pinch at the top and pull down. These curlers never pulled my hair out but left me with loose curls. The curlers themselves turned out to be a lot easier to use than I initially thought. I have used it several times on myself and my daughters. I love how easy it is to apply and how our hair looks afterwards. I've found that having a hood dryer really helps, but even air drying works too. When it comes to using them, I've used them on totally damp hair that I had to wet spray. Both work equally well, but working with fully damp hair works much better. Great curlers for short or long hair, thick or thin hair.
