Great product if you prefer to draw with pencil in your art style but decide to branch out. After drying, they are like a regular pencil, so you can get the shades you are used to in layers. But don't stop there - when you get wet it acts (to an extent) like a watercolor-like product and then dries completely. So you can get a lot more depth and variety with very few pencil strokes or layers. (Be sure to let it dry between washes before moving on to the next pen - it won't work very well or at all, otherwise you'll end up using whatever watercolor paper you want to use wet/dry too). I have included an example (sorry bad lighting) of what this product looks like when wet. Blacks and grays are all watercolor pencils we tested, colors are Derwent Inktense, ink crayons or blocks.
