Okay, the cable itself gets five stars. Win10 is much smaller. Puppy Linux (Tahrpup 6.02) immediately recognized the printer and started printing whatever was in the queue due to a failed attempt with the universal converter cable. UPDATE: Okay, I was wrong in believing the claim that the generic PLC6 printer driver works for PLC5 printers. The generic PLC5-only printer driver is not available in Win10 drivers, but it is available in HP Win7 printer drivers. Downloaded and installed. The printer now prints under win10.
