Intermittent - do not buy this product

Cable intermittent, unreliable. Attempting to print more than one page at a time seems to overload the cable's data capacity, causing data transfer to be interrupted.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Keep calm

Okay, the cable itself gets five stars. Win10 is much smaller. Puppy Linux (Tahrpup 6.02) immediately recognized the printer and started printing whatever was in the queue due to a failed attempt with the universal converter cable. Win10 sees the printer through this cable. The printer wakes up but prints an error message, not what I want to print. The driver obviously doesn't like it. I used HP's generic 64-bit Windows driver. He's still trying to find a driver he likes. And no, automatic…

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • old

Great Product - Computer Accessories & Peripherals

I have several older printers that use Centronics parallel ports and these adapters make using the printers with USB only computers hassle free. I'm giving 5 stars for technical support mainly because I've never had any issues with the software, which is the kind of support I appreciate from a vendor. FWIW, over the years (decades) I have found that Tripp Lite products are top notch.

Pros
  • Always liked
Cons
  • Slightly dented

Great product, best cable and connection

I have several older printers that use Centronics parallel ports and these adapters allow the printers to be used with computers that only have USB ports without any problems. Old technology sometimes works better

I have an old HP 4000N LaserJet that still works. I tried buying a USB to RJ45 adapter, but in the end it was the USB network adapter that the router was looking for, not my printer. Belkin made one of me who died. I don't think they are a "thing" anymore. This reliable cable worked the first time. Yes, it's "slower" than 10 Mbps, but I don't need speed for a 20-year-old printer just to get it up and running again. Thank you Trip Light!

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • I have doubts

THIS THING WORKS GREAT

This item arrived quickly and appears to be durable. Good flexibility and seems well made. I plugged it into the back of the HP Laserjet printer and then plugged the USB into the back of the computer. I didn't do anything else and immediately a message appeared on the computer screen saying the computer had found a new USB device. I was skeptical it would be that easy, so I made a test page and sent it to the printer and it printed right away. No fuss, no fuss - IT WORKS! That saved us a lot of
