Actually, this camera takes amazing pictures. If you can aim and shoot without excessive shake, this is the camera for you. The image quality is amazing and the camera's auto-detection features are also very useful. Things can appear a bit grainy on the LCD screen in suboptimal lighting, but once you get it on your computer you'll see just how great the image quality is from this camera. I was taking photos with my cousin the other day and he even compared the quality of the shots to a DSLR! Some may find 14.1MP a bit redundant - it is. Correct me if I'm wrong because I heard this from a friend, but in theory the human eye can only see the difference up to 12MP for normal sized photos. A higher MP also takes up more space on the memory card. So if you're one of those people who never delete photos, you should definitely get a larger SDHC card. I personally prefer the highest quality images, whether or not my eyes can tell the difference, which is why I chose the highest resolution on the market. It's a lot smaller than I imagined. It is completely pocket sized and very easy to carry. Unfortunately, this camera lacks a lot more besides fantastic shots, interesting features and a cute size. When I first got my hands on it, I was surprised by the cheap quality of the plastic that covered it. This of course makes them very light and also increases the portability of this small camera. But I'm also very scared of dropping this thing, expecting it to shatter into pieces the first time I drop it. If you know you have a tendency to drop things, this may not be the camera for you. Of course, this problem can be solved by using the included strap and/or spending an extra $5-10 on a camera bag. But I have to emphasize again that the optics of this camera are really not good. The AV cable flap (the cable that connects the camera to the computer via USB) is loose as a tooth, and I wouldn't be surprised if it comes loose at all within the next year. I would not recommend this camera for children under the age of 13. I agree with other reviewers that the shutter speed on this camera is really, really slow. I don't think this is the kind of camera that can be used in sports games or other places where there is a lot of movement and commotion. This may be the first camera I've owned, but I know for sure that compared to other cameras this one almost overshoots the mark due to its unreasonably slow performance. However, as a student with little interest in sports and without running children, I can overlook this small negative point. event or something else. So far I've only used it to check image quality, so I can't comment on battery life yet. But I don't think it's really that bad. Battery life is always something that can be improved. All in all, you have to admit that this camera takes great pictures for just over $100. And I think that the excellent quality of the photos this camera takes makes up for all of its shortcomings. I am very happy with this purchase but to be honest if something happened to this camera and I had to replace it I would buy another model.
