Update: the seller did a great job and sent a replacement. I am convinced that the problem I had was rare and atypical. This is how you take care of your customers. great work and great product! Initial Rating (updated to 5 stars): The overall design with large grommets and a Cobra style "tactical" buckle is the best I've ever used. However, upon adjusting the length, as I have done many times with many different collars, the link broke with relatively little pressure. The broken link will show discoloration, which may be due to overheating and overstressing of the metal during assembly. I was able to use a similar link from a Sprenger collar that works fine, albeit a little smaller. NOTE: None of the other links have changed color. or fragile. I would rate it 5 stars as "perfect" were it not for the brittle metal in the link. I don't know if this is manufacturing related or if the collar was used and damaged by the previous owner. We all know that many items at Revain are bought and returned for resale only. That's not a problem as Revain always gets things right. The packaging says it was at least opened before I received the collar. I will adjust my rating accordingly once the seller fixes this.
