I have recently started karate again after more than two years and want to protect my goodness. I am 54 years old and bought this mug to replace the mug I used 25 years ago (it was a youth size). This one fits comfortably. I guess I'm "average" height (5ft 10", 190lbs and a medium pack, although one testicle was enlarged from hernia surgery a few years ago). There is no extra room in the cup, but the girth seems to be in perfect contact with the groin. Surprisingly I use the same bandage as I did 25 years ago which holds the shell well. In a kimono with baggy trousers, I sometimes wear tight sports shorts over a mug. and straps and under my gi. No mobility issues and I usually forget I'm wearing it. I wash it with hand soap and warm water.
