This is a simple headset that fits comfortably and sounds very good. It has no volume control. (That's why your computer/phone/computer has a volume control). The electronic noise cancellation does not work. (Poor electronic noise-cancellation confuses my inner ear.) It really has incredible frequency response. I started by testing some of my favorite test tracks and comparing the AB to studio headphones that I also own. I prefer the HyperX Cloud Stinger gaming headset over $200+ studio headsets. HyperX also wins in long-term comfort. Large earcups allow HyperX to fit around your ears instead of against them. Not only is it more convenient, but I think it helps with soundproofing and communication. I completely forgot I bought a refurbished HyperX headset until I came across the box it came in and read this on the box. They arrived in this good condition.
