I just bought it and received it yesterday and I'm already writing a review! NOT GOOD! I had such high hopes for this device and was excited to be able to use Wi-Fi for my nano tank stand. I was hoping to be able to access Wi-Fi to adjust settings and make changes without having to slide in and out of the unit like the original DP-4 without Wi-Fi. I originally bought the 3.4 engine. It's a small red and white device, but I had to return it to the seller I bought it from because it lived up to its bad reputation of not being connected to Wi-Fi. So I ordered this device hoping it would be better and could connect, but in case it wasn't I could use it manually like the original DP4. WHY did it do the same! It would not connect or even find a connection on 2.4GHz. I've tried so many different configurations. Even set up a guest WLAN, but he searches and still doesn't find anything. I am very very disappointed in this device. The politest way I could say is that the software they have on this device, including their app, is a big piece of crap! Their wifi and app are absolutely terrible. People who managed to get these (red and white 3.4 or this 2.4) connected to their Wi-Fi networks, you are very lucky. I wish I could enjoy the features because that was the only reason I bought it. After much frustration and scolding, I had to reconcile the fact that I simply had to use a manual system. On the plus side, it's smaller than the original DP4 (I didn't have it but I saw it) and it's not a total loss as I can only use it manually. I haven't had a chance to use it yet, so I can't comment on its reliability or anything like that. I was just struggling to get this thing to connect any way I could think of. So, if you decide to purchase this product, you should be aware that you might be among the victims of people who are unable to connect the device to your home WiFi.
