Better than regular EZ Outs

I broke the stock EZ Out trying to remove a bolt. After some reading, people said that this type of tool rounds the drilled hole rather than breaking the hole. So. I thought I'd try. It worked! This will be the first thing I will refer to for any broken bolts in the future. I love that they come with a rubber holder. It keeps things compact, which is easy to see. As a note. I used them in combination with a Mayhew Pro 37316 1/2-inch Shake 'n Break Pneumatic Bolt Breaker. I also had to use multiple adapters to get to the right outlet. but the effort was worth it. In this case, a pneumatic hammer is connected. I used it to hammer the removal tool into the hole I had drilled. Once fully seated. It took about 40 seconds for the air hammer to penetrate the oil and apply gentle/constant pressure with the wrench to loosen. He unscrewed the broken bolt without much physical effort.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Not automatic
