Just wanted them to light up the stairs at night so I can see the edges well when I get home at 2:30am the steps. Some nights they turn on, most nights they don't. At night they turn on, they don't even last until midnight and that's in summer when it's light until 9pm. When winter came and it was already dark at 6:00 p.m. SMX. I have several other solar LED lights that run all night that have much smaller solar panels. Also you have to be very careful not to bend them, only when unwinding them from the reel I bent them a bit and half the string lost strength. I only needed half of it for my purpose, but if you want the full length, be careful and handle it with care! The remote works, but you can choose either full light or a wide range of blink/fade options. I would prefer 50% full charge, or even 25% if that means the battery would last all night or at least until 3am!
