Review on Govee Thermometer Bluetooth Wireless Grilling by Brenda Garvin

I like the product itself. You like the thermometer, the app looks good. BUT the big problem is that actually the top of the probes (not the round part it is wrapped in but the black part with flowers) is actually made of plastic. It melted on first use. Why not make everything out of metal? I used one probe to place the meat inside the kamado grill and hung the other in to take the actual temperature inside. He did not overcome 550 degrees and melted. How do you make a barbecue thermometer out of plastic parts? it hits me If you use it for baking where the oven doesn't go above 400 degrees it will work, but at higher temperatures it won't. Even in the oven, when you turn on the grill, the temperature will exceed 550 degrees. Ready. If you're grilling meat and maybe some fat drips onto the charcoal and it catches fire, you're done. Too bad
