Perfect for my needs

I bought this for a specific purpose but I think it will be good for others as well. I have a 12.9 inch iPad Pro which is big enough to connect to my MacBook Pro as a second monitor. I bought another stand which I returned and took a chance on this one. On the go, I use my MacBook while sitting on a desk or desk. When I'm at home, the MacBook sits on a beautiful Rain Design M stand that elevates the MacBook 3-6 inches in the air (this Kabcon tablet Stand allows I can easily measure the height of the tablet with the screen against a MacBook, either very close to the table or at a height of 6". The hinges on the stand seem tight enough to be able to use the tablet as a tablet (with a touch screen) but I mainly use it to turn a tablet into a PC display or a video device like a TV Backpack without taking up as much space as other desk stands I've returned It's listed as being made out of aluminum but As one reviewer noted, the two posts that connect the base plate to the tablet plate are plastic on the outside, although not entirely plastic I find a benefit of something that Ge weight reduced and I don't see any conditions under which they would break. The plastic parts of my backpack are completely covered with aluminum plates. When I use it, the tablet is much thinner than the stand. So I don't think I was scammed but make sure you know this if it's important to you. I don't use a case on my iPad, but I think it fits most cases. I think my iPad will outlive it. Ok what would make it a 6 star hotel? Maybe a cloth case to wear around it to protect it in my backpack (or to protect other items from aluminum. What would I change if I could? I wish it was in space gray to match my iPad, but the silver color is very nice. Also, the rubber caps that sit on the curved metal that holds the tray can slip off when worn. An extra set of these would be a nice touch. I cover it with light plastic bags to use during use Transports have been covered, and remember to look for these cases every time I take them out of my backpack.
