Charges things. I'm not sure if it's faster than any other charging box, but it gets the job done. My biggest complaint is that it makes this horrible, extremely high-pitched sound when plugged in. Many probably won't even notice it, but to me it's like nails on a blackboard. And yes, this is the device. Noise is predictable and repeatable whenever and wherever connected. I can only use it in a room that I don't live in. If you are hard of hearing or don't mind high pitched sounds this charger is great for the money.
