This is actually my 3rd set of these speakers that I have bought. One set for my wife's office, one set for the bonus room. Both were v2015 sets. Then they were sold out for a long time and only came back last month. I quickly ordered a set for my theater as I was happy with the previous sets. Actually more than satisfied. However, there are some differences. The drivers are made of a different colored material, or possibly a completely different material. The black laminate peeled off some of the speakers right out of the box. There is a new logo. not great at best and not that pretty because of the changed driver colors, when the grills are off. The biggest change I noticed in the 2015 version was a mounting screw that was always a 1/4 inch threaded screw. Before opening this box I bought the 6 I needed for my mounting brackets. Upon opening this box, they replaced the screw with an M6. Uh, another trip to the hardware store. Not really a big deal, but there are several popular mounts with built-in 1/4" threaded rods that no longer work with these speakers. You can see most of the differences in the versions here: [.] I mean, I'll give them time to play them in, which is very important for these speakers. So far so good, the sound is as expected, only the processing has of course suffered. I don't understand, why monoprice can't throw a package with the correct mounting screws, which was always a 1/4" thread screw.
