My brother is a musician, and we recently took our 6 year old to her first all-ages show, where he was playing. She already has hearing loss in one ear, and hearing loss with age runs in my family, so I feel very protective toward her hearing. I bought these ear protectors for her to wear, and it worked out very well. First, she loves all things space, so the nebula design was right up her alley and helped her warm to them right away. As with all ear protection I’ve ever worn, they do get a little uncomfortable if you are wearing them non-stop for an extended time. But she happily put them on whenever the music was playing, and didn’t complain at all (and I think we would have heard about it - a lot - if they had been particularly uncomfortable). They were easy to adjust to her head (and she’s small for her age), but they look like they’ll expand enough to last for many years (I’m pretty sure I could wear them if I wanted), which is good because the afore-mentioned musician Uncle has already passed on his first drum set to her, and is teaching her to play.
