There may be a problem with the docking station.

This requires a constant 5V supply. Many images that show this do not show this. (Okay, let's dig a little deeper.) This device case is metal and definitely has an industrial look to it. This is nothing negative, just sharing information. I think that without the docking station, the problem described below would have disappeared. >>>>>>>Here's the gist, this doesn't work the way I thought it would. The docking station may cause some lag. thoughts are welcome. PARTS: +Computer1: A new Dell laptop with a very good graphics card. *with docking station* +Computer2: A new Dell desktop computer with a very good graphics card. +DP switch (to switch the DisplayPort inputs to the monitor) +Monitor issue: Step 1: Set the switch to display Computer1 on the monitor. - ok step 2: install program A on the monitor (from computer 1) - ok step 3: toggle switches so that computer 2 is displayed on the monitor - ok // a short delay of about 10 seconds step 4: toggle switches so that computer 1 appears on the monitor Computer 1 appears to be recognizing the monitor for the first time. Program A is no longer on the monitor where I placed it in step 2. I think the problem lies in the connection between the docking station and the switch. Because I think the switch is completely detached from the dock. In fact, in step 3, when I flip the switch, Program A is already moving back to Computer 1 (the laptop screen). Any ideas? Are there DP switches that solve this problem? Unfortunately, my laptop does not have a DP output. There is a docking station, so I wanted to use it.
