Overall quite an attractive mailbox that was easy to install. My old pole was starting to loosen, but with only 2 feet off the ground I was able to just cut the existing pole and stick it in there. Only 4 stars for several reasons. At first it rubbed a little because it bounced in the box. It's okay because it's outside, but it would be nice if it started out untouched. Second, the installation instructions are just pictures. Ikea is cool and all, but so is the English language. It's not difficult to install, but having fuzzy little images is really unacceptable when it comes to an item that will be there for many years. A few words will help you understand what to do. Third, you have to install huge screws with a hand wrench, which just isn't enough. I didn't have the right bit for an impact wrench, which would probably be a good thing. Instead, I recommend pre-drilling a small pilot hole, especially on older posts that are more prone to splitting. After pre-drilling, everything is very easy to assemble. All in all, I went from an old dented mailbox to this one in about 10 minutes, so I'm pretty happy with it. I am sure that our postmen will be very happy about it too!
