I got this couch cover because I recently adopted a dog from a rescue and she has incontinence issues that we are working with a vet to get fixed. Until then we want her to be able to snuggle with us on the couch and be a part of the family but at the same time we need to protect everything. It's very good at protecting the couch and it has been easy to wash and has kept all the moisture from getting into the couch. My only complaint is that the loops that the tension strap hooks on to, is only single stitched. It needs to be a triple Stitch at least, something to add strength to that known tension point. I have restitched both of mine after about a week and a half of having this on that couch. They were starting to rip away from the actual cover. Next time I take it off to wash I'm going to put it into my sewing machine and do triple stitches all in that area.Update: after having this product for longer. Now, it seems only good for minor spills. My dog had a larger accident on the couch and this covered did not prevent it from going through to the cushions. I will probably be returning it now. I might see if I can buy something at the fabric store to add onto the back of it to actually make it waterproof.
